Be Your Specialist Series – 1

Topic ( Importance of Early Intervention )

Many times, parents ask, ‘What could I have done?’ From where to start and when to start remain a puzzle

It might sound strange, but many a time we do not try to think logically. We are overly charged with emotions that block common sense. It happens sometimes or the other with all of us.

The first thing we need to do is to make a point of reference i.e. if the child has a concern with sitting upright and is unable to maintain balance, make him sit and surround him with cushions to give support. Additional support can be given by making the child sit in a corner next to a wall where two walls meet at the Right Angle.

So, instead of running from Pillar to the post and wasting the precious time called EARLY INTERVENTION, we let the challenge hang waiting for someone else to come and manage.

It’s time, we start thinking out of the box and get going.

Having said that, it does not mean, not Taking advice from a specialist,.

Please express your concerns to the specialist regarding value enhancement and improved management of situations; in the meantime, rely on your common sense.

Starting this week, I will begin to share a concern that we can all address without hesitation instead of postponing and neglecting the issue logically.
